Oils on Board

First I came up with a rough outline of the composition and painted it in oils on board. Then I scanned it and smoothed the repeat digitally. I have since used this print in home decor and apparel.

At the top is shown a painting of red roses subtly among a myriad of bugs that includes a spider, fly, bettle and death's head moth.
Below this is pictured a dress and skirt featuring a print made from the painting. Below that shows what the finished repeating print looks like.
